Today marks the one-month anniversary of HBlog.

I expected it to be a casual dalliance in online journaling. But to my surprise, I’ve become devoted to the daily discipline of writing.

On a few occasions, I’ve struggled to find a topic. Some days just aren’t all that interesting. Ironically, those days’ posts are the ones I now like best. Maybe it’s because the blank screen forced me to look at something from a different perspective.

But perhaps the most rewarding thing for me has been the added interaction with friends over topics of mutual interest. Blogging has been a great way to share photos and observations—without the added distractions of Facebook.

If you haven’t tried blogging yet, I highly recommend it. A WordPress account is free, but the experience is priceless.
