Last week, my friend Tom (aka “The Blogfodder”) sent me a link to a wonderful project the New York Times is organizing.
In a nutshell, the NYT is inviting photographers around the world to shoot an image at 15:00 GMT (10 a.m. Central), and to submit it for the A Moment in Time documentary project.
I thought it sounded like a marvelous project. But curiously, none of the dozen or so photographers I’ve contacted has expressed any interest in participating. So I guess I’m on my own.
I still haven’t decided what I’ll shoot. Maybe I’ll plan ahead and try for the May Day Parade preparations. Or maybe I’ll just let serendipity take its course. Either way, I’m already looking forward to seeing what others around the world found interesting, moving, beautiful or thought-provoking during a moment in May.
