A Blurb about me

As I sipped my champagne last night, I reflected on the things I want to do differently in the year ahead. Eating more vegetables, drinking less beer and exercising more regularly were naturally (perennially) at the top of the list.

But I also thought about what I might want to accomplish as a creative person. Near the top of that list was a desire to “do more” with my photography.

Call me morbid, but over the past few months I’ve meditated occasionally on what I want to leave behind. And I’ve realized that my photos are an important part of my legacy.

My photos don’t hold a candle to the ones in National Geographic—or the Star Tribune. But they’re a record of the things I’ve found beautiful over the years. And as such, they’re priceless to me.

So today I took a first step: I gathered my favorite nature images, married them to some of my favorite quotes, and assembled my very first Blurb book. At the risk of sounding arrogant, I’ll admit I’m pleased with my first attempt.

Next up: a collection of my photo illustrations of Paris. Back soon with an update!
