Every so often, bits and bytes transcend technology and become art.
Such is the case with the Flash-based website that France’s Réunion des Musées Nationaux has created to promote their Claude Monet exhibit.
I can’t describe it; you have to experience it for yourself. But I will say that it’s every bit a masterpiece as the paintings it celebrates.
Here are two views of Monet’s glorious waterlilies to whet your appetite. I saw these in 2009 in the L’Orangerie museum in Paris.
