According to Google, we have a fourth major religion! It doesn’t offer any festive holidays, but at least it’s easy to convert: Simply click “save as,” and then choose “PDF.”
It’s snowing on your blog!!! That’s so cool. I’m going to become pdf, but only if it doesn’t involve buying vast amounts of crap made in China that no one wants and that will rapidly become landfill because we feel like that’s what you’re supposed to do. Phew, long sentences aside, wishing you a deep and reflective solstice. Down here in Oz, we’re coming up for the wild abundance of summer solstice, very different. x
Isn’t the snow lovely, Pollyanna? I’m not sure why it happens, but I’m always happy when it does. (And also, I appreciate that it doesn’t accumulate enough to require shoveling. Ha!)
I will join you in becoming pdf โ and in saying “no, thank you” to the empty materialism that has become the hallmark of this season, and to savoring my friendships and my loved ones instead. So, my own long sentence aside, happy pdf holidays to you and yours down in Oz! May the wild abundance of your summer solstice yield new insights, wonderful health, and every happiness. xx
I converted to PDF a long time ago and I’ve never been happier. PDF readers are free and you can take your scriptures anywhere, worship on any platform and I like the fact that it is dogmatic in that other people can’t change or distort your preachings. Neitzsche wrote somewhere that the word of the prophet is corrupted even by the first disciple. Well, the prophet should have converted his sermon to PDF, then that wouldn’t have happened.
Wishing a joyous and safe festive season to you and yours; and all good things for the new year.
You are simply brilliant, Xpat! I’d never heard of that Nietzsche writing before โ but I hope all modern-day would-be prophets will take your advice and convert to PDF.
Thank you very much for your kind wishes โ and I repay them tenfold. I do hope the year ahead will be full of happiness and good health for you and all of yours.
On the last census, 2011, one of the fastest growing religions was Jedi Knight. I’m not sure how they’re going to record such things in 2021 as I think that was the last census. But wouldn’t it be wonderful if enough people converted to make a difference. ๐
I most definitely will spread the word. ๐
Seriously? Jedi Knight actually made the U.S. Census? That’s kind of hilarious. But I’m sticking with pdf, I think. As cool as those light-sabre things may be, pdfs are still more practical. ๐

No, the census in England and Wales… UK. ๐
Oops. *Of course.* The Force is strong with England and Wales. ๐
PS: Thank you for being a pdf evangelist! ๐
Reblogged this on Photographic Memories and commented:
I’ve been “saved”. Have you?
I was into orthodox PDF and a dangerous extremist. Not anymore. ๐
ยกJa, ja! You’re so funny, Rosa. ๐
